Wow. What. A. Year. This year we went a little bit out of our comfort and stretched our Wedding schedule over the whole year. We were able to pack in a lot of love of 19 Wedding into this crazy year! We never compare Weddings, because each occasion is so specific and personal to the couple and their families (hello! why we love our job!), but as the year comes to an end - we love reflecting back on all the moments we shared with couples and their families and appreciating all the love we got to witness. Here's some highlighted pieces of our year! Want to learn more? Read through to some of our other posts as we dive deeper into some of these days.
An epic walk with all your Wedding guests
Caitlin and Corry certainly set the tone for the rest of the night when they walked all their Wedding guests across the Seaport bride from the Church to their Reception lead by then non-other but a bagpiper. It was the perfect way to get their guests hyped up for the epic party that was about to commence at the Intercontinental Boston.
The hottest day ever. Like EVER.
Sarah and Justin's July Wedding at Pierce House in Lincoln, MA was full of charm, fun and
sweating. No way to put it delicately, it was the hottest day of the year and their outdoor Wedding proved to really show how much their love and light-hearted personalities can focus on what is most important. Everyone powered through the heat and the focus was truly on their journey ahead and they celebrated with one of the best nights ever!
Any room can become your Wedding
We love a transformation! This is why when Ilana and Kevan brought us on to help them transform the Sharon Community Center into a Wedding Venue, we were ALL IN! The Center is not your typical function hall. The Community Center used to be a hotel back in the day and has a beautiful oversized front porch, large white columns and oh yeah - a front row lakeview. On a limited budget, we brought the tropical, fun feel that the Ilana wanted to have into the room and turned the standard ol function room up a notch. After dinner we turned the lights down and they partied the night away to all their favorites. All the components of Wedding dreams!
The one where the Bride won the Wedding Favors game forever.....
We like to think of ourselves as thoughtful people, but Roxanne and Zach brought it to a whole other level. We always feel that Wedding Favors are only worth the time and money if they are something that people will actually use and feels personal to you, but the books that they picked out for each individual guest, tied with their name at their place wins ALL the awards. Guests were blown away with the thoughtfulness and we were blown away with how they even managed to present them in a visually adorable way that served a double purpose as place cards. BRAVO!
When the cool factor hits 100
Maddie and Jamie's Wedding at Warehouse XI was in one word and one word only - COOL. All of the personal details that Maddie designed and created herself (she's a UX designer) - were completely original and personal to them and their undeniably cool vibe. Everything little thing was thought out so that guests truly felt like they were hanging out in their living room. The example below of their guest book - custom branded records (Maddie and Jamie are The Babes) - is just a sliver of the touches that filled the day.
A venue with never-ending inspiration
This year we were so thankful to Lauren and Chris for introducing us to one of our new favorite venues! The Barn at Bradstreet Farm is not only a beautiful, rustic property featuring a gorgeous barn, gardens, a cornfield, goats - yes, goats! But the staff their is amazing to work with and are creating one of the up and coming venues in the area. We can't wait to be there again in 2020! Please enjoy this amazing photo of Chris and his groomsmen taking advantage of the corn field photo-op.
A vacation to remember
Jessica and Victor's destination Wedding in Florida kicked off our Wedding season with a bang. We are partial to Destination Weddings (what we planned for ourselves!) but the intimate celebration Jessica and Victor shared with their friends was not only a blast on the night-of, it spanned over 5 days of fun in the sun! Even a quick rainshower in the middle of their ceremony - yes - didn't keep them from having the night of their lives. This photo truly captures the love that surrounded them.
